[Test-Equipment] Any GPIB and/or LabVIEW users?

I can recommend the following set up that I use and have really been
enjoying.

I use NI GPIB-ENET controller. This connects my GPIB bus of equipment to my
Ethernet network.
I use the NI driver for the GPIB-ENET which I believe I downloaded from
their website. I run this on a run-of-the-mill PC running XP. The drivers
allow me to connect to the controller over the Ethernet quite transparently.

Then I use a very handy program called EZGPIB
http://ulrich-bangert.de/html/downloads.html
This program is a pascal-like programming language that allows me to
configure any device on my bus and also acquire measurements from them. I
have done some really fun automation tasks. Some that took 24 hours to
complete! I can gather the data, save to disk (as a comma separated or
anything else). I can (and have) easily control and gather data from such
instruments as DVM, Digital scope, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers,
power meters, etc. Mostly HP equipment but also Fluke and other. But this
set up can control any GPIB device

Then I use PLOTTER.EXE also located at
http://ulrich-bangert.de/html/downloads.html which then allows me to create
some really nice graphs of the data (if that's of interest to you). Like
this:

I also run KE5FX's toolkit which I can use for device plotter capture like
this

<http://www.w2hx.com/x/Filters/3-1.4-filters.gif>
<http://www.w2hx.com/x/loads/all-3-loads.gif>

and also some KE5FX utilities I use for debugging my EZGPIB like talk.exe,
listen.exe, query.exe, etc.

Set up runs great!

Yes, I know the options. There are so many more recent hardware
choices than RS232: USB; Etherenet, and software choices: LabVIEW;
Agilent; etc.

I'm looking for anyone who has experience to share with brands of
hardware & software.

Thanks,
Dave
