[Test-Equipment] Help ID NBS (aka NIST) Noise Source

Hi Dennis,
My looking at your pix appears to show that indeed there is a noise
source in the cage (The "N" connector is labeled noise output) while
the rear panel additions simply take what is probably the filament
voltage and allow it to be switched to the rear panel 2 pin connector
for use with an eternal source.
So unless the tube is gone in the cage, you more than likelyhave a
working unit.
