Subject: [Test-Equipment] Eico 667 Is there a way to check performance?
I have an Eico 667 that hasn't been used in a number of years. I brought it back up very slowly and it appears the filters are OK. Power supply ripple seems nominal.
However I recently had cause to check a 6AQ5. It barely moved the "merit" needle. I pulled another
(used) one and it checked the same. Altogether I checked 7 or 8 6AQ5's
(all pulls). They all barely moved the needle in the same way. I find
it hard to beleive they were all that bad.
Other than buying a new 6AQ5, which may not be needed should the tube checker be bad, does anyone know of a way to check the performance of the 667?
Your attention is appreciated,

Ray, W4BYG
