I agree that there must be buck SMPS in the base of that E10 LED lamp.
However, I kinda doubt that it'd work from a 6.3 VAC source like a #47.
And the 120 degree illumination pattern wouldn't work well for the
dial window on my Hammarlund HQ-150, which is one of the "bulb-eating"
applications I have in mind.
