Which series 400 is it, that will make a big
difference. If its a 400A/B its a usable meter but mostly a
collector's item. 400D/H will depend on serial number and
version. These models went through at least two major
circuit changes and the earlier ones will barely meet specs.
None of the 400 series were sold with probes. There are
manuals for some models on-line.
