If one sends the file to a place like Kinko's for printing, they can just
print an 11x17 as 11x17 which should then be Z- or Fan-folded to 8-1/2 x 11.
As some of you know, I sell (and collect) military radio and Teletype
manuals. I have printing and machine folding capability for up to 11 x 17, and
an arrangement with a commercial outfit for printing foldouts wider than 17.
I mostly do 3-hole punch for screwposts, or center-fold, staple and trim,
but can do GBC (plastic finger). It sounds like most who wanted a hard copy
of Tod's HP manual scan have already arranged for printing it somehow. But
if anyone is still looking for some way to get it printed, you may contact
me direct. I only do black and white (including gray scale).
