Dennis,
These are great for measuring high Qs', it goes down to 1 ohm at the resistance scale, but don´t forget to use double shielded coax for all connections. All try to find an article that gives interesting ideas for the 1606A in a Ham Radio magazine article, especially for calibrating the bridge.
