Jack,
I'm currently (or will be when I get it back on the bench) building a
tester/rejuvenator into a defunct I-177-B chassis, transplanting the bread-board
setup I've used for several years to clear contacts. I have a Heath VT-1
and an almost identical EMC 906 that I intend to use parts from.
Do you have a schematic of your unit? What method do you use to clear the
contacts?
