[Test-Equipment] Info on an antique field strength meter?

I have a rather nice collection of antique and classic field strength and wavemeters.  One FS meter is made by Radio Transceiver Labs of Richmond Hill, NY.  It is tagged "Handy D.B. Field Strength Meter".  It contains an active one tube circuit with a collapsible whip.   It looks a little like a WW2 handie talkie,  but not quite as large.  

I have not been able to find a schematic diagram or any information on it. 

Does anyone on the list remember or recognize the FS meter?  Bama does not list it, nor does a web search turn up anything.
