Hi all,
I picked up an hp 3403C true rms ac volt meter. I got it because it is
supposed to work to a few hundred MHz.
I was working on aligning an exciter (harris rf-1310) and was measuring
a particular stage. The stage is supposed to be at +6dbm. I measured
this with my 8568B spectrum analyzer and got it to +6dbm.
Then for kicks, I connected my 3403C to see what was what (signal was at
1MHz output). The unit read 1.2V. It seems its reading the peak-to-peak
value and not RMS.
Anyone know if there is a simple switch somewhere I've overlooked to put
this into RMS mode? Or this just might be a junker unit
Thanks
