Hi Nigel,

thanks for your answer. Well, any material you may have on the SPM-19 /
PS-19 is welcome.
I am trying to understand if that cable is a straight, pin-to-pin, one, or
if they played games with it.
Before ruining a couple of instruments which I bought for a reasonable price
and seem both calibrated,
I would like to be double sure...

Thanks for the PDF file, and sorry for the nuisance of finding a way to send
it.

Hi Alberto

I took a look through the schematics manual and there is an interface card
shown for the IEC-625 bus, which I believe may be the same as "normal" GPIB,
but don't know if that would be used to link the two units.

If the interfaces are standard GPIB then linking them shouldn't do any harm,
it's just that I'm not so sure that's what's needed to sync the two units.
I have a printed manual to hand for my SPM14 and that shows that any links
to the PS14 are made via the rear BNC connectors.
Let me dig a little deeper and I'll come back to you later.

No nuisance re the pdf file, just usually takes several goes to upload due
to my crap internet connection that always drops out at the wrong moment:-)
I'll send you the url once it's available for download.

BTW.....
Congratualtions re the purchase, if all is up and running, calibration being
a bonus, you've got some very nice hardware.

regards

Nigel
