I have a W&G SPM-19 Selective Voltmeter and its companion, the Level
Generator PS-19.
The two are meant to work together in tracking mode, being connected via a
special cable.
I don't have that cable. The connectors on the back panels are mechanically
compatible with the GPIB connectors.
Can please somebody in the know tell me if I am safe using just a GPIB
cable, or do I risk to fry both instruments ?
Alternatively, can somebody point me to a source for that cable ?

Hi Alberto
I've not got my SPM19s any more, and most, if not all, my printed manuals
went with them, so can't help with a direct answer.
I may still have some printed information but that would be buried in
storage right now, however I do have a pdf file of SPM19 schematics and parts lists
if that's of any use to you.
At 20MB, it's over the AOL email limit but I could set up a rapidshare
download if you'd like a copy.
Meanwhile I will check just in case I do have any other information that's
accessible.
regards
Nigel
