Greetings all,

I have come into the possession of a HP 70000 Spectrum Analyzer,
consisting of the 70004A display, 70902A IF module, 70900B Controller,
 a 70001A mainframe with the 70310A Precision Oscillator, 70600A
preselector, all connecting cables, manuals and 70905B Rf section
(50Khz to 22 Ghz). I got it for the princely sum of nothing, just haul
it off the company property because it was broken. The power supply in
the 70001A mainframe is showing an over current fault. I checked the
trip level of this alarm and it is set correctly. Anyone else have a
problem like this? Nothing on the power supply card looks burnt or
overheated, so I am thinking there is a bad semiconductor somewhere on
the board. The HP manual reccomends replacing the power supply, but
there is no way that is going to happen.

Thanks,
