I was wandering around the flea market at Dayton and found a HP 432 power meter with a power sensor and cable. The power detector was not made by HP and looked different than clones I've seen. The cable didn't mate to the 432 but the guy selling it said that I could get a correct mating connector and rewire it.
The power sensor was a Pacific Measurements Model 13786 good from 1 MHz to 18 MHz.
At the price asked I bought it.
Some questions:
Anyone know if the cable can be rewired to mate with an HP432 and work with the sensor?
Any way to check if the sensor works using a simple ohmmeter test?
Is the sensor more valuable to someone that has a real Pacific Measurements power meter and if so who needs one?
If it works, what's it worth to a ham? (I did check a price via google and it was very high from test equipment resellers).
