The units I have seen have been VERY simple LC circuits similar to those
designed into phase control (SCR - Triac) circuits... many are just a pair
of 0.1 mFd caps with an inductor 'tween 'em...  there may be more complex
versions but I have not seen any such animal...  a cousin of mine is still
beating himself over buying several at what he calls a 'significant'
price... thankfully, I got mine for free!!
