[Test-Equipment] URGENT: FTP Site disaster - need your help!

Hi,

I have a set of the Tek 1240 emulator ROM pack images. Should I send them
to you? On your failure, have you looked into any of the data recovery
services? They are pricey but sometimes they can work wonders.

Best regards,
Geoff Greer

Fellow techies,

I'm sorry to report that disaster has struck the Blue Feather FTP archive.
Said disaster was caused by a RAID controller failure, resulting in a
complete loss of archive data, both public and private.

I've replaced the bad controller, of course, but unfortunately the problem
hit during a time when I was in transition from one backup system to
another.

In short: I have no recent backup.

I would, therefore, like to appeal to those who have downloaded and stored
files from my archive, particularly Tektronix and HP software and firmware,
to help me recover by sending me files, collections of files on CDs,
whatever. I will reimburse for postage if necessary. CD's can be mailed to:

Fair warning: This is not going to be easy to recover from, and it is going
to take at least a couple of months to get anywhere close to where I was
before. Until then, the archive will be inaccessible from the Internet.

Please help as time allows.

Thanks much.
