I'm not familiar with the Xtal evaluator folks are discussing but there is another one you may want to consider.  Doug Demaw built one based on work done by Wes W7ZOI that was described in the January 1990 issue of QST and I think was reprinted in another ARRL publication (I'm away from home so doing this from memory).  FAR circuits has a PCB available and I built one recently.  His design allows you to evaluate the series-resonant frequency, the 3-dB response points, and the resistive characteristic of a crystal.  Very useful for building crystal filters by matching them up.  The ARRL reprint also includes Wes' work on crystal analysis.
