A lot of test equipment during WW-II never had military nomenclature
assigned, although there was far more of that at the beginning of the war than at the
end. If the Megger was made for the Navy in early 1944 and had nomenclature
assigned, it most likely would have been from the Navy system and not the JAN
system.
