Hello,
I have a Tektronix 475A scope with the DM44 option. It worked fine the last
time I used it, except that the trace on the CRT was becoming intermittent
(working normally, then blanking out for a second, then coming back). I
troubleshot it down to the HV tripler module and then obtained a "donor" 475
for a replacement tripler. I removed the tripler from the donor and was
ready to install it in the "recipient" 475A, but then my outside life
intervened and the project just sat. I realize that I will probably never
get around to fixing this scope, but it would make a nice project for
someone else. The recipient 475A is in excellent cosmetic shape and is
otherwise healthy, so there is the potential for someone to get a very nice
scope out of this.
I just fired up the recipient 475A and it works as I described it.
Everything seems okay except for the intermittent trace. The donor scope
also has various pieces (mechanical parts, knobs, switches, case parts, CRT
filter, etc.) that could be used to restore another Tek scope. Of course,
these scopes are "as-is." I'll also throw in a "new-in-the-bag" original
Tektronix scope cover for the 400 series scopes.
I'm asking $100 plus shipping for the entire package.
Thanks,
Stan
