I'm familiar with the sets. I almost bought a CEI system instead of the ACLs but
chose the latter instead I do have a W-J offset frequency counter that went with
the system.

The Premium Rx group is only supposed to be about receivers that are synthesized
and have uPs in them. Not lowly analog units with Mallory Inducttuners. There was a
guy in PA that handled a bunch of this stuff, but that was ages ago.

I'm not sure the CEI/W-J stuff ever was sold under a military version. The ACL was
for sure, in several different flavors. I saw it aboard an FBM boat in New London
in about 1970. There were even special low noise W-J GAs FET preamps that were
mounted inside the top of the periscope.

Best,
-John
