Subject: [Test-Equipment] Sweep Generator info
All,
I'm looking for some recommendations for a sweep generator.
I'm not particular about brand names but; I don't want a lemon either.
I have test equipment from HP, Heathkit, Knight, etc.
I'm acquiring a National NCX-3 Transceiver and it calls for a sweep
generator capable of sweeping at approx. 1 cycle per second over a frequency
range from approx. 5 to 5.5mc.
I don't know that much about them and would like some input on what would be
a moderate unit to acquire. I don't want something that is oder than the
radio itself, ~ 1963.
I have no idea on the price range but I can't afford the cadillac of all
test equipment.
I would want something that is very reliable, easy to work on if needed and
has a manual that can be obtained.
Tks,
John
