[Test-Equipment] Advice about used scopes

You'll find most of us recommending the well known, mass produced Tektronix
465B. Lots of used units available at reasonable prices. Fairly easily
maintained. The number of units available means parts (or a replacement
scope) are generally readily available. They also don't suffer from the
failing tantalum capacitor syndrome and the semiconductor "unobtainium"
issues seen on the 2465 series.
The 7000 mainframe scopes are nice if you don't mind the size and weight and
need the flexibility available through changing out of vertical amplifiers
and such.
