Hi,

The Bird "Quick Change" (QC) connectors look like
normal SO-239 or type N chassis connectors,
but have a split center pin extension designed to mate with
a matching receptical in the Bird Wattmeter 
or dummy load.  To change from a Quick Change type N female
to a QC SO-239, or vice-versa, one only needs to unscrew 
the four screws securing the connector to the Wattmeter.  
No soldering is required.

Bird sells Quick Change male and female connectors, 
in series UHF, N, BNC, C, HN, LC, LT, EIA Air Line,
and probably newer types than my manual covers.
