Carl,
Since no one answered your root question...
When you know the publication number, enter it into Pub Number field. It is
not necessary to enter prefixes like TM, T.O., etc. It is not necessary (and
in many cases not desirable) to enter the full TM number. For example, if you
wanted to know all variants of long-number manuals, enter only the generic
part of the long number. For the TS-617, the generic part is 11-6625-471. This
will bring up three manuals, one on the C and two on the D.
When you know only the equipment nomenclature, enter only the short form into
the Pub Title Text field. For your TS-617C/U, the short form is TS-617.
This will bring up everything on all models of the set (in this particular case).
From there, you can sometimes fine-tune your search criteria and reduce the
list to only those you want.
The older short number manual on TS-617 is TM 11-2635. I don't have it but
it appears that it covered TS-617/U and Change 1 covered TS-617A/U. The later
one is TM 11-2635A, which originally covered only TS-617B/U. Uniquely, as far
as I have ever seen, Change 2 went back and added applicability for TS-617/U
and TS-617A/U, superceding TM 11-2635. Change 5 added TS-617C/U. If you
don't need a hard copy, you can download in PDF format TM 11-2635A through Change
5 from LOGSA tonight. If you need a decent hard copy, with foldouts, contact
me. I do that sort of thing, but not for free.
