2 cents worth from somebody that has packed hundreds of items up to 110 lbs
and had them delivered without a scratch.
Local appliance store: Great source of various sizes and shapes of foam
packing. Many useful shapes that can be modified quickly with a box knife or
hand saw, also large sheets in various thicknesses.
Also great double wall boxes, like for microwave ovens and washer-dryer
pedistals.
Don't sell the plastic peanut short. Take them and put about 2 coffee cans
full in a plastic grocery bag amd tie the handles together loosely. Do not
overfill, you want the peanuts to float around in the bag and conform to odd
shapes, like corners. Works great.
I once had to ship a Rhode Island red rooster home, and he was packed so
well that when it was opened, they found an egg.
Thanx
