I also have a GR-1001A.  Old round meter model.  Fortunately, I had the pad 
and 50 ohm adapter with it as well as two cables.  No power cord though.  I 
had a female plug I had been holding onto for a long time and finally used 
it!
Seems like I've seen something close to that used with older sewing 
machines.  You might check with a sewing machine repair store and you may 
find what you need.
I also have the General Radio manual on the 1001A.
