[Test-Equipment] Interest in Replacement Amps for HP8640B?

Is there any interest among this group for replacement driver or final
amplifier modules for the venerable HP8640B? If so, what price range for
either module might you be willing to pay? Would you accept compromises on
the performance relative to the original HP amplifiers, such as reduced low
frequency output power (say, +10 dBm instead of +18+ dBm up to, say, 10
MHz); or reduced output power across the whole frequency range; for
example, +14 to +16 dBm instead of the original +18+ dBm?

The modules I'm thinking of would be plug-in, bolt-in replacement PC
boards, perhaps with a top cover to keep the original wire screen shield
from shorting the new board. You would unbolt your original amplifier
modules and plug these boards in their place. At this time, no other
changes are anticipated to have to be made to the instrument, such as to
accomodate the original +44.6 volt amplifier power supply (i.e.: the new
replacement amps will operate from the original power supply).

Thanks,
Steve, K0XP
