[Test-Equipment] HP 34401 repair?

In my quest to obtain a bench meter, if I were to find a 34401 that 
didn't work, I want to know what the risks are for making it 
functional again.

Is there anything about such a meter that you'd "pass" on if it was 
broken? Something that was unobtainable?

What would your limits be when it came to resurrecting such a meter?

Just blue-skying it, right now...
