[Test-Equipment] HP scope with option 034/5 (Time interval DMM)

I've used a 1725A oscilloscope for several years, and have just picked 
up a semi-working 1742A at a hamfest. The 1742A has option 035, the
top-mounted DMM that also displays the delay time (by measuring the 
timer interval output voltage).

I'd like to transfer the DMM onto my 1725A - I think it's probably the 
same unit even though the 'scopes are fairly different from each other 
internally.

Is this feasible ? Most of the connection points seem very similar but 
there is a small transformer fitted to provide power for the option. The 
  PSU board on the 1725A is quite different from the 1742A and doesn't 
provide the mounting holes. However, there are a couple of studs on a 
nearby aluminium plate which look as though they might do the job.
