I believe most all 260s are 50uA movements (which gives the instrument
its 20kOhms/V rating), but around Series 6-7-8 or so, the basic
D'Arsonval movement was replaced by a taut-band movement, and then
back-to-back protection diodes and other electronic "improvements" added
later.
My Series 3 has a Series 5 movement (a replacement somewhere along the
line), on which I've managed to scramble the rear hairspring while
trying to Scotch-tape out some crud between the armature and the slug.
Shoulda left well enough alone (or heeded the - too late - fishing-line
suggestion.) Aaaargggghhhh!
There are a wealth of 260s on ebaY at any time, but you may have to ask
(as I have, several times), "What's the Series # under the Simpson name
on the meter face?"
Good Hunting!

All else aside, RF to the other fellow's antenna is what counts.
