[Test-Equipment] Two things

I have an RCA WG 300B probe that i would like to know where it might 
have been used.  Excellent shape.  Has 2 switch settings on it, Low cap 
X10 and Direct.  I suspect it's from one of their O'scopes but don't' 
know for sure.  Any suggestions?

Secondly, my Tektronix 2235 scope has bit the dust, kinda.  It turns on 
and if i push the beam finder i do get the dot on the screen.  However, 
nothing happens when i apply any type of signal to the input's.  Any 
suggestions or should i find a Tektronix repair person to approach this? 
  Apparently somewhere along the line i hooked it to a wrong place in a 
circuit.  I'm definitely to blame for this.
