[Test-Equipment] TEK 7704A Readout display

Hi All,

The readout display on my 7704A is consistently showing incorrect, 
and in some cases, indecipherable symbols. When I say consistently, 
I mean that any control on a plug-in selecting a '2', say, always gets 
the same symbol. I have tried removing Q3416 to get all zeroes - no 
way; I get almost entirely tick marks that look like down-pointing 
arrows with one flight missing; and some characters still change with 
plug-in settings. I have tried swapping the column and row decoding 
ICs - 0014 and 0015 - and swapping these from known good TEK 
CROs - again to no avail.

Can someone shed some diagnostic light in my darkness, please?
Or, possibly, supply me a Readout Display board from a 7704A that 
is being scrapped?
