[Test-Equipment] Sweep generator SG-24 / TRM-3

Hi guys;

I am new to this list so -please forgive me if I transgress in any way. I
don't know what has recently been discussed so I might be repetitious.

We are working on subject and have a question. Why is the manual voltage
for the CRT only about 1300 volts when a tube manual says 2000 VDC? This
puzzles us because the CRT is rather dim and you have to wait until after
dark to see the markers.   Has anyone had experience with this generator?
Does it normally present a bright trace with only 1300 VDC? I suspect our
CRT is weak but don't want to buy one unless we are certain. Thank you.
