You are right...
The Label says it is a "Megger Circuit Testing Ohmmeter".
"Megger" is the trademark; this thing is an Ohmmeter...
The vendor had a real Megger with the hand crank and
I (unfortunately) chose this because it had an expanded
scale.  Darn...
