It's actually not a Nuvistor, but a planar triode.  I seem to recall 6239
being the type number.  They're pricy -- I've seen them quoted at >
$200.00 -- but I can't imagine any reason why a $2.00 MMIC couldn't do the
job, perhaps with a homebrew 2 GHz bandpass filter.
