[Test-Equipment] TS-226 A / AP Power Meter

Can anyone tell me what this piece of equipment is
that I found (again)in my workshop? I think it is WWII
era and maybe military in origin since it was
"tropicalized".  I got it from Wayne State University
Physics Department in Detroit in 1971 when they moved
and threw out and pile of electronics (which I dragged
home with me on a crowded city (Detroit Street
Railways - DSR) bus...
