Bob,

According to a pinout list that I found on my hard drive, pin #22 is "Remote
Level" and, if memory serves, is looking for a DC voltage between 5.4 vdc
(full on) and 0.0V (off). The 5.4 vdc is available on pin #48 and ground is
on pin #21 among others. It is meant that the wiper of a pot (value = ??)
is tied to pin #22 with one end to +5.4 and the other grounded. Replace the
pot with a relay or switch and you should be in business.

(NB, there is also a "Remote Enable" on pin #42 that may have to be grounded
or pulled up.)

All the above is for the "Centronics" parallel remote interface, not GPIB.

Craig

PTS 040 or 160 Frequency Synthesizer.
Is there a signal output - enable/disable pin on the rear remote control
Amphenol connector?
I would like to key the units signal output.
Thanks,
Bob...w2ami
