Hi list,
Some years ago an old friend, now SK, cannibalized a Systron-Donner
frequency counter, Model 1037-B. He brought me a Gray rectangular box from
it made by Motorola. It is approximately 1.5" X 5.0" X 2.0" high. It has
the following stenciled on it:
MOTOROLA
K1001A ASP02
Ser. No. 011054
On the top it has three small feed-thrus. Each has a small solder lug under
the lock nut. The three terminals are labeled, E1, E2, & E3. All three
solder lugs are tied together and had a black wire attached. E2 & E3 feed
thrus are connected together and have a red-white attached. There is no
wire attached to the E1 feed thru. I can't tell if my friend removed a wire
here or if there was ever a wire there.
On my right when looking at it, the end has the following stenciled on it
"FREQ. ADJ." Below that there are two adjustment screws and below that it
is stenciled "FINE" "Coarse". Below that there is one PAN head screw.
There is also a label with 6 Motorola Patent Numbers and "Other Patents
Pending"
My questions are:
1. What frequency?
2. What voltage does it require?
3. I'm guessing that the Black wire (E1, E2 & E3 lugs) is negative and
that E2 & E3 Feed thrus are positive and that the output is probably on the
E1 feed through.
Can any one please shed any light on this?
TIA & 73, John, W4NET
