Hi Kees,
Usually rosin cleans off nicely with 90% isopropyl and a flux brush
with the bristles shortened to about 1/4". For the tougher, baked on
stuff, I use "Goof Off" (xylene) sparingly with a quick isoprop
flush to avoid eating into the trace adhesive. "Goof Off" is
available at "Agent Orange" and other big box stores.
Rosin flux usually isn't problem unless ambient humidity is high and
the circuit impedances are > 1 Meg. You could also use water-
soluable flux, if you don't mind replacing soldering iron tips
frequently. And you BETTER remove that flux ASAP - it's vicious!
