Dale,

A good Flux cleaner is MEK. Smells bad, but does an effective
job of removing flux. Can be bought at your local hardware store
in a quart container. MEK is pretty cheap too, but be carefull and
make sure you are in a well ventilated place.

Yes it's very bad for RF. Especially SMD parts at high frequencies.
Guaranteed to detune that properly design circuit if the amount of
flux is to high. Besides, why should something you spend a lot of
time and hard work to build look dirty and un-finished?

Take pride in what you do and clean it up.
