Hi All,
A very happy and safe July fourth to all Americans who celebrate it.
I have a RF Applications P2000-CW meter. The word "meter" is somewhat
misleading, as in point of fact, there is no meter on this unit. Rather, it
outputs the SWR and forward power in CW. There is 'no' visual display of any
kind. It is intended for use by those who are totally blind or with a serious
visual or print comprehension disability.
I have noticed as of the past two months that the forward power indicated seems
to be no longer accurate. It used to correspond to the meter built into the Icom
756 within several watts. I had a sighted friend use a known to be accurate HF
SWR/PWR meter and double check the level. It was within several watts of the
Icom's readings.
Do any of you happen to own one of these RF Applications P2000-CW meters? If so,
have you known of such an issue?
Is there some means by which this meter can be calibrated?
Thank you for any help that you can provide.
