Allan, thanks for the information on the manual for the TF-2370 Spectrum
Analyzer. Turns out the unit has a very accurate 10Mhz internal osc with
a peak of -10dBm. This can be used to verify the instrument is working
correctly and it is. The only problem I ran into was that some bandwidths
were wider than I had expected and that turns out to be that I had the
filter set to "Wide" vs "Normal". Both solutions resolved by
correcting/educating the operator. Sure is a nice tool for debugging to
see what the signals really look like and with a different range
selection pick up any spurs the transmitter is generating. Self contained
tracking generator ain't bad either.
