I used to have one of those : I think it has both a tracking generator
and calibration output.
Connect the calibration output to the input and check the resulting
spike at 10MHz is the right amplitude. You can probably also check
for spurious responses, but I'm not sure what level is allowed.
Then connect the tracking generator to the input (I think you need
to insert an attenuator : check the levels) and check that there's
a correct amplitude signal right across the bands (i.e. it looks as
though the noise level has just shot up).
