[Test-Equipment] Really dumb question!

Hi to all. I have just refurbished an Eico 369 Sweep Generator. It came with
the Operation Manual and the Assembly Manual. I have constructed a Wideband
Detector, and the other cables necessary for it's use.
Here's my el-dumbo question:
How do I connect it to my scope? I have a Tek 466 and another larger Tek. I
use them all the time for troubleshooting, etc. However, the vintage of scopes
used with the 369 have binding posts input terminals. It's a no brainer for
the 'vertical input' to the scope, but where the heck does the 'horizontal'
cable go?
I have made up cables with BNCs out of RG-58, so I'm ready to check the
calibration, etc.
Surely, the 'horizontal' goes to the scope's 'triggering' circuit........?
thanks!
