Greetings, I asked awhile ago if anyone knew what the length of the
ground leads were for the 3406A meter, and no reply, so I proceeded to whip
some up of the shortest lengths possible. I used pictures from the manual
for clues. The end that clips onto the probe barrel looks like a clip to
hold fuses, so this is what I used. I made it to fit on the barrel of the
11072 isolator tip which appears to be the same dia as most standard
probes (.190") it turns out to be .195"
which means it won't fit into standard sized probe to BNC adapters!
Tonite I just happened to notice that the actual probe does not have this
.195" barrel, just the larger barrel ( on the 11072 and other tips, this
larger barrel is after the .195" barrel.) This means that my new grounds
won't fit on just the probe.
The question fellow 3406A owners is; where do the ground leads fit, the
large or the small barrel ground? Hey and how about the lead lengths
too, anyone have a ruler?
