thanks for your answer. The problem is that, not having the
Service Manual, I don't
even know if there is a backup battery...
I would tend to say that there is no battery, as without mains voltage
(even if switched off)
it looses all the frequency and sensitivity settings, but maybe the
battery is used for the
calibration only... it looks like I will have to open it, but, having
opened an SPM-6 in the
past, I know already that it is a nightmare to service such a piece of
equipment...
