Hi all, I wonder whether anyone can come up with some information on this
recent purchase. The receiver works fine but it was originally set for the
old BBC R4 Frequency (Cs controlled) of 200kHz. About 10 years ago the EBU
declared that all Euro BC stations should be on a 9kHz grid and BBC R4 was
moved to 198kHz. Hence this unit was put in the store-cupboard. The unit is
obviously one that can be tailored in manufacture to any standard frequency,
and compares the recovered carrier phase with that of an external standard
source. There is obviously some "processing" of the external source, in a
die-cast assembly. I am guessing that the external standard can be divided
to the nominal carrier frequency of the off air signal....so the unit could
be "converted" to 198khz. I know this is an odd frequency but the German LF
standard DCF77 is on 77.5 kHz
Spec details from an R&S Cat would be useful....a manual would be
wonderful.....yes I have tried Google with no a lot of success, except for a
lot of links to eBay pages.

Thanks
Best Wishes
