Hi:

I have a HP 8640B RF Signal Generator. You might know
that it is easy to damage it's output attenuator if
you (stupidly) transmit into it (e.g. testing a
transceiver with the generator connected to the
antenna
and you bump the ptt, [I know, unplug the mike...]).

HP used to sell a fuse-holder (HP 10509A) to protect
the generator; it looks like an over-long "cartridge"
fixed attenuator with an "N" connector on each end.

At an equipment graveyard, I found a HP 608A-95A
fuse-holder, that contained an ordinary looking
6mm x 24mm glass fuse; Buss AGX 1/16, 250 volt.
This fuse-holder looks just like the recommended
HP 10509A. Does anyone know:

Are the HP 608A-95A and HP 10509A equivalent?
What is the appropriate (Buss) fuse to use to protect
my generator?

I appreciate, and thank you for your assistance.
Sincerely
