Hello to all.....
I recently acquired a new 2-01C tube for the RF probe of my 410C. I
understand that the probe used an EA-53 which has a 6.3V filament. The 2-01C uses 5V.
However, both the 410B and 410C have an adjustment pot to set the voltage to
the correct level. I do have the Manual for the 410B, but until I get my hands
on a 410C manual, would one of you fine people help me set the filament voltage
in my 410C?
Just the P/N of the pot would be a great help. Location might be of
assistance also. I restored the 410C a few months ago, however, the difference between
the B and C models is extreme.
Also, I was wondering another point.........you would think that the spring
contact used at the tip end of the tube, would make a wonderful choke at some
frequency BELOW the 700 MHz rating of the device... Any thoughts here?
Thanks profusely!!!!
ron
