If the 6P could accept the HPGL code?

  HPGL

Short for Hewlett-Packard Graphics Language, a set of commands
for controlling plotters and printers. HPGL is part of Hewlett-
Packard's PCL Level 5 page description language.

My HP-4P uses PCL Level 5.

Look for a GIPB (IRE 488 I think) to RS-232 interface box,
(or ethernet) from Black Box or B+B or such.
